In a momentous ceremony held during the CEPT University Convocation 2025, the prestigious Christopher Benninger Award for Academic Excellence in Planning was presented for the first time. This distinguished accolade, which honors the memory of the late Prof. Christopher Benninger, a master architect and planner, was awarded to Dalal Niket Dharmeshkumar at the Faculty of Planning (FP) graduation function. The award was instituted by Mr. Ramprasad Akkisetti in recognition of the profound impact the late professor had on shaping the field of planning in India. Prof. Benninger, who passed away in 2024, was a visionary whose contributions to urban planning and architecture are deeply ingrained in the academic and professional spheres.
